How to choose useful custom typing text
Use text you are allowed to handle and that reflects what you want to practice. A paragraph of at least 80 characters works well for a short timed test. Completion mode is better for a precise study passage, a punctuation exercise, or a short piece of work-related language.
Keep capitalization, punctuation, and numbers when they matter. Whitespace normalization can remove accidental spacing from copied text without sending it anywhere. For a general passage and a buffered timer, use the online typing test. To build drills directly, visit personalized typing practice.
Privacy limits to understand
Browser-local does not make sensitive text risk-free. Someone with access to your screen, browser tools, or device may still see what you paste.
